My Happy Heart launched in Play School’s Through the Windows on 25th February 2019.
My Happy Heart is a whimsical children’s television series that encourages young children to take a short moment each day to reflect and ask themselves ‘what makes my heart happy?’
This animated series explores the stories of a collection of diverse characters on a quest to nurture their happy heart; introducing children to healthy approaches they can use to live a happier life and look after their wellbeing. Concepts such as mindfulness, connection, contribution, community, creative expression, self-care, gratitude and intention are uncovered through unique stories. Children are encouraged to learn the benefits and importance of exercise, connecting to nature, spending time with loved ones, meditation and cultivating a passion.
Short episodes encourage children to learn from an early age the importance of taking small moments to reflect; inspiring young viewers to consider emotions and explore different approaches of cultivating mindfulness and joy. A collection of engaging stories explores a diverse spectrum of problems that challenge children, giving a voice to their concerns and providing a supportive toolbox of invaluable ideas and education.
My Happy Heart champions children to take hold of their power by asking themselves, ‘What makes my heart happy?’. Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunties and teachers alike can use this series as a platform to connect and inspire conversations with young people about the very important task of looking after our hearts.
